BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF LOCATION:

Founded in 1863 by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of San Francisco, Saint Mary's College of California is one of the oldest colleges in the West. The College campus originally was located in San Francisco. It is now located in the beautiful rolling hills of Moraga, CA. The quaint town of Moraga sits 15 miles east of Oakland and only 20 miles east of San Francisco. Napa, Sonoma, and Marin County are within a 1 hour drive from Moraga as well. Students and faculty enjoy the vast cultural experiences offered by nearby cities.

St. Mary's College of California is a well-known liberal arts college that takes great pride in their student's extensive involvement in global, national and local service projects. The Liberal Arts tradition ensures that students develop habits of critical thinking and a desire for lifelong learning.
