2012 CHOOSE TO MATTER CONTEST

The Julie Foudy Sports Leadership Academy is proud to partner with Disney Sports Enterprises and The Century Council for the 2012 Choose to Matter Contest!
CONTEST CRITERIA
The 2012 Choose to Matter Contest is open to:
1) any girl who has ever attended a Julie Foudy Sports Leadership Academy (from inception in 2006 to 2012). One Grand Prize winner will be selected from each of the three JFSLA locations.
2) the general public, specifically any mother/daughter team (living within the United States) who implements a service project together. Mother/daughter projects will be entered into the Century Council "Mother/Daughter” Category, and one Grand Prize winner will be selected.
3) any girl affiliated with our partner non-profit organization, Girl Talk. Girl Talk projects will be entered into the "Girl Talk" Category, and one Grand Prize Winner will be selected.
All projects must be entered between January 2 – 16, 2013 on the Choose to Matter contest website. America will vote for their favorite project from Feb 1 - Feb 7, 2013. Five (5) Finalists per category will be determined by the top three (3) vote getters, and two (2) selected by Julie Foudy.
A panel of judges will review all of the Finalist Projects to choose a Grand Prize Winner per category based on the following criteria:
(1) understanding of the issue
(2) innovation and creativity
(3) impact (positive change that was affected)
Second, third, fourth, and fifth place prizes in each category will also be awarded.
