We are ECSTATIC to be adding Lacrosse to the Julie Foudy Sports Leadership Academy in New Jersey for the summer of 2013. Meet our amazing group of women leading the lacrosse training at the Julie Foudy Sports Leadership Academy (although Julie likes to pretend she can play Lacrosse, she will be sticking to the soccer demos thankfully):
Following the structure of our popular soccer schedule, Lacrosse campers will spend half the day on the field learning from some of the greatest LAX women to ever play the game, and the other half of the day will be spent doing fun, hands on, high energy leadership skills training.
OUR CORE BELIEFS
All of us at the Julie Foudy Sports Leadership Academy are big believers that sports and leadership go hand in hand. What we learn on the field as players shapes who we are as people. Our confidence, our strength, our ability to deal with adversity are all traits that we learn by playing. And we don't think you need an Olympic gold medal or World Cup Trophy to benefit from the true gift of sports. We built this unique curriculum with these concepts in mind: gather some of the best women athletes/leaders (and just all around GREAT, cool people) in the world and weave the sports and leadership components together to create a week that is life changing. And, since we don't like to brag about how awesome our week together is (but of course we will tell you if asked), you can instead read about the transformational week from our campers and their parents.
DAILY SCHEDULE:
Here is how the week will shape up. While the soccer campers are playing soccer, the lacrosse campers will be playing lacrosse and then the entire group joins together for the leadership sessions. (Please note that a camper cannot do both lacrosse and soccer during their week with us... they will be required to choose one when they register. Please also note that Lacrosse is only available at our New Jersey location.):

SCHOLARSHIPS

Co-founders of JFSLA and Director of Development and Scholarships at the Julie Foudy Leadership foundation
Attended University of California Berkeley, B.A. Kerri and Julie grew up playing soccer together (from the age of 7) for the Mission Viejo Soccerettes (Go Green Machine!). Kerri is married to Edson McClellan, co-founder of the JFSLA as well. Kerri wears many hats, and very well we might add! First and foremost, she wears the hat of MOTHER to three adorable girls, Megan and Madison (age 11… Megan is all of 1 minute older than Madison) as well as Macy, now almost 4 years old!
Kerri then runs the Julie Foudy Leadership Foundation and also helps the JFSLA behind the scenes on a daily basis. On "the side" she runs duathlons in record times and was part of team USA last year. STUD.
